More than a hundred ships from 20 countries will sail in the bay of Cadiz

The feast of the Innocent Saints at the 1st of the afternoon will start in the bay of Cadiz the thirteenth edition of the New Year's Regatta, which is celebrated in the memory of Kim Lythgoe for the tenth consecutive year. The race was set in the town hall of El Puerto de Santa María, in an event that had the presence of the sports councilman, Antonio Chacón and the president of the Andalusian Federation of Vela, Francisco Coro. It is considered a high-level test with which the Andalusian Vela Federation fired the nautical year and welcomed a new season testing the best specialists in the Laser and Tablas disciplines, including among the latter and for the third year in a row to the Raceboard class, which will share stage with the Olympic windsurfing modality, the RS: X class, and the Techno Sub 15 and Sub 17 reserved for the younger. The Laser Standard, Laser Radial and Laser 4.7 disciplines will complete a cast of athletes of all ages, from children to Veterans, going through the Youth and Senior categories, for a race that is the beginning of the European high-level test circuit, and in which the Spanish are added an important foreign participation from a dozen countries, with athletes from Russia, Belarus, Germany, the United Kingdom, Norway, Netherlands, Lithuania, Ukraine and France. In addition to putting into play a consolidated trophy as one of the most prestigious and eager for athletes around the world, the race will decide this year on the autonomous titles in all classes except for the Laser 4.7.
