The Catalan Luis Miguel Oliver Cso far president of the Nautic l'Amposta (Tarragona), has been proclaimed by an absolute new majority president of the Spanish Federation of Remo, after being imposed with 39 votes to the so far top president of the Spanish rowing Fernando Climent, which achieved only 35 votes. A total of 75 voting-rights Assemblies (two athletes did not attend) were present, with a blank vote being counted. Oliver has been an Olympic remer and according to the winners in these elections comes with the change after a long period of command of the previous directive, which has added to the Spanish rowing in a very grey period as regards participation in Olympics.

Luis Miguel Oliver Cañadas was born on August 4, 1959, so he is currently 57.
