The Russian Navy is equipped with underwater drones

Russia shows to the world its progress in the field of unmanned underwater vehicles by testing its new submarine drone and that it can become a dangerous nuclear weapon
According to the newspaper 'Izvestia', the Russian Ministry of Defence expects to obtain the first samples of this type of device in 2017. Inperceptible planers can be similar to the classic air drones to send operational information to all fleet structures. Undersea planners move without the help of a propeller. Inside the device, which looks like a torpedo, there is a hermetic chamber divided into two parts. In one of them there is air, the other is occupied by the liquid that compresses the air. By reducing the air volume, the glider begins to dive, to reach the surface pumping the liquid again. The speed of the device is 2 km / h and the energy consumption is moderate. This allows the glider to work autonomously for several months."These devices can be used to monitor the environment: find passing ships, submarines. The resulting information shall be analysed on the shore. Ocean research is also a priority for Fleet, all that has to do with the salinity of water, its temperature, currents, sounds to different depths", says former Naval Chief of Staff, Víktor Kravchenko. These devices could serve in the Arctic area and many others. In the future, planners will be able to
