Arturo García assumes the command of the Federation of Vela of the Region of Murcia, thus taking the witness of Pedro Román who has been in charge of the federal entity in recent years. A complicated and difficult period as Garcia thus recognizes, having first-hand knowledge of the current situation of the federal entity. "The federation has been asleep all these years, mainly because it has been its turn to live the worst years of the economic crisis and has been dedicated to settling outstanding debts as much as possible. Few are able to embark on a project like this, as complicated and difficult as the one currently found by the federation. In this sense, García, accompanied by his team, highlights the reasons why they wanted to stand in front of the Bat candle: "Eight years ago, a group of friends very fond of the candle we planned to enter the Federation of Sailing of the Region of Murcia, but we realized that it was not the time yet." adding that "this year has been when we have launched to realize some of the many dreams we had and to relaunch the federation starting from scratch".
