It was held at the Club Náutico de Castilla la Gala Anual del Sporte de la Vela. The event, organized by the Autonomous Federation of Vela de Castilla la Mancha, put bright final brooch to the sports season, where in addition to rewarding the first three classified or classified from each of the sailing patterns or classes, took stock of the highlights of the regional athletes this year. In addition, the gala became this occasion, in a sense tribute in posthumous title to Emilio Plagaro sportswoman of the Finn Class, of the Nautical Club Entrepeñas, died in 2016 after an extensive sports life linked to the sport of the candle. The award was presided over by Concha Valledor, president of the federation of sailing of Castilla la Mancha, who summarized the most outstanding events, activities and athletes of this year 2016. In this season, 7 autonomous championships have been held in the Finn Classes, Cruises, Kite Surf and Formula Windsurf. Among the most outstanding successes of the regional athletes are the title of Spanish Champion of Sailing in the Formula Windsurf mode achieved by the Pilar Prieto caravan as well as the first and second absolute place obtained by the real city Eduardo Navarro and the talaveran Alfonso Tertre in the Iberian Formula Circuit Windsurf 2016. Finally, the Federation of Vela de Castilla la Mancha wanted to award Pilar Prieto, Eduardo Navarro and Alfonso Tertre for their sports career over the last few years and especially in the Formula Class Windsurf, giving them a federal plate for this recognition.
