Ports of the Balearic Islands will bid moorings in Mahon for boats of "nautical charter"
The Harbour Authority of the Balearic Islands will offer the management of the mooring posts for rental boats in the docks of Levante of the South Bank of the port of Mahón. The Management Board has approved the basis for the public competition for this concession, which will also ensure the supply of water and electricity to vessels, in addition to those proposed by the successful tenderer. In an analysis of the desirability of this project, it has also decided to launch this navy, which responds to its commitment to enhance this sector in all the ports of general interest it manages and, in particular, in Mahon. In addition, it will have an operating area of 6,901 square metres corresponding to its entire water mirror. In addition, 462 square metres of land-based influence area shall be allocated for passage, urban furniture, signage and other works and facilities necessary for the operation of the mooring. Only vessels of sixth list, i.e. for rent or nautical charter, shall be served in the facilities subject to the competition. The tenderer shall propose in his offer the number and dimensions of the vessels and their distribution in the assigned space. The annual employment rate to be improved is EUR 47,030.66 and the maximum period of the concession is 12 years.
