Great success of the I 100% Bodyboard Spanish Championship in the Canary town of Galdar (Photo Richart)

The mythical wave of the Guancha an amazing quality of bodyboarding, was the queen of the I Spanish Championship 100% Bodyboart that was held in the Canary waters of Galdar, with about 100 participants. In total there are surfeasron 1182 waves in total, resulting in extraordinary scores. In the three days of competition there were 5 "10," 22 waves (above "8") and 100 very good waves (between "6 and 8"). The combination of waves was also up to the event, and the highest scores were for Yeray Martínez (18.75), Willy Lujan (18.00) and Armides Olivares (18.00).

The first title of Spanish champion of the championship is given to us by the master category: Abian Perdomo of the Federation of Canary Islands. In the category dropknee another canary took the gold, Hugo Hernández... the surprise in charge of the Galician Brais González who achieved bronze. The next category left by a new Spanish champion was that of SUB 18, in which in a final contest, the young Tinerfeño, Lucas Nahuel, rose with the title against the Galician Juan Sande and the canary Christian Piopoon. Finally the 2016 Spanish championship was closed with the queen test, the category of OPEN, in which the level of the competitors was incredible. Spectacular flights and incredible maneuvers made the judges difficult to select the winner. During the dispute, we could enjoy an excellent wave, marked with a 10 at the hands of Diego Cabrera and the highest combination (18.75 points), which gave the title to the Canary Yeray Martínez.

More than a hundred athletes will meet in Galdar... once the registration deadline is closed... the high technical level is confirmed. They will be in internationally recognized sports competition such as Yeray Martínez, Diego Cabrera, Luís Pérez (Gigi), Jonathan Vega, Ruiman Rey, Richard Estuñan, Aitor Ojeda, Abian Perdomo or Acaymo Martín. We will also see the young, true values settled at the national level, Eduardo Rodríguez or Kevin Orihuela and the current Spanish champions the Galician Nicolás Nieto, and the canaries Carlos Suárez and Teresa Padilla.

The peak of "La Guancha" will be the stage to host the competition in the eight categories to be disputed: Masters, DropKnee, Male Open, Female Open, Male Sub18, Female Sub18, Sub16 and Sub 14. From the technical direction a competition window has been designed that allows the entry of all those who made the pre-registration. The next day 22 and with the weather forecast will be published which will be the three days of competition chosen and the possible times per category.
