Women, energy and sport with pyragüismo in Castellón

Castellón is the first stop of the tour 'Women, Energy and Sport' that will travel seven cities until December 2017. Ribalta Park offers the opportunity to enjoy the sport, music and fun with women as a protagonist. A few weeks ago in Catoira was presented the exhibition 'Piragüismo con nombre de mujer' first act of the promotional program of the RFEP 'Women, Energy and Sports' of Iberdrola, which with Teresa Portela as ambassador in Castellón continues its journey.

The first meeting with the Women, Energy and Sport Tour that was held this weekend in the Park of Ribalta de Castellón was one of its main protagonists with the Galician palist Teresa Portela, the most famous Spanish international in history and that in Rio played its fifth Olympic Games, the first as a mother, a sports career as exemplary as it is unrepeatable. In Castellón he debuted in the role of Ambassador Iberdrola of the Women, Energy and Sport project of the Royal Spanish Federation of Piragüismo.

The start of the Tour 'Women, Energy and Sport is the second of the actions of this ambitious program of promoting the women's sport of extraordinary importance for Spanish pyragüism, as well as for the rest of the sports sponsored by Iberdrola. The Ribalta Park has become a sports villa this weekend to enjoy activities for all audiences. Castellón is thus the first Spanish capital to host the Women, Energy and Sport Tour, an initiative funded by Iberbrola that is born from the "Universe Women 2018" program of the CSD. Triathlon, volleyball, gymnastics, pyragüismo, football, badminton, handball and rugbi can be practiced in the Spanish park. The 8 federations sponsored by Iberdrola are responsible for providing content and guiding the promotional activity of each of the Olympic sports modes, which with the Tour' Women, Energy and Sport find a promotional space of extraordinary potential. In a facility of almost 5,000 m2, sports and animations are offered. The objective of this road show is to promote and disseminate the role of women in the sports world and to transmit the values of effort and overcoming, through the practice and exhibition of various sports modalities, through a tour of seven Spanish localities. However, the meeting, with the woman as the protagonist, is open to all public.
