The president of Balearia, Adolfo Utor, has received the Tourist Trajectory Award awarded by the University Institute of Tourist Research (IUIT) of the University of Alicante. The award, which aims to recognize the work of the professionals and companies of the tourism sector of Alicante, was delivered yesterday in the degree hall of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Alicante and was attended by important representatives of the tourism sector of the Valencia Community. In his words of thanks, Utor highlighted the elements he considers key to a large company: "have values, know how to innovate and focus on people."

The company currently has a fleet of 25 ships and is the leading shipping company in connection with the Balearic Islands and one of the largest operators in the Strait of Gibraltar, as well as having a presence in North Africa and the Caribbean, areas where it envisages an ambitious expansion plan. The shipping company is a reference of service, innovation and social responsibility in the Spanish shipping sector. In addition to being a pioneer in the use of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Spain and working on eight R & D & i technology projects, the shipping company stands out for the current construction of an intelligent and eco-efficient ship with the latest technologies. The new cruise ferry, with an investment of 187 million euros, will be the first ferry of passage powered by liquefied natural gas in the Mediterranean.
