More than 15,000 visitors have approached the Marina Real Juan Carlos I in the last week on the occasion of the Valencia Boat Show, a Valencian nautical hall that this year has changed dates, concept and location. During the seven days of the event, visitors have been able to admire the latest developments in sailing and motor vessels of the main international shipyards, as well as engines, accessories, services and nautical clothing. Following the motto chosen for the nautical hall, Valencia Navega, the Valencia Boat Show has wanted to bring water sports closer to all the public in the hands of the Municipal Scola de Vela, which has held free sea exits and visits to the Goleta Tirant during the open days, in which 300 people have participated, adding to the 900 schoolchildren who have participated during the week in sea baptisms on the occasion of the event.

Fernando Jiménez, director of the Valencia Boat Show, was satisfied with the outcome of the competition and its change of concept. "It has been far above our expectations, not only for the number of visitors but because they were truly nautical-loving visitors who knew terminology and products well," he said."The comment in the new boats sector afloat is wonderful. Although until next week operations are not closed, we know that there are some already closed in the living room and some started, the final result of which we will know in the next two weeks. And in the dry part, as for boats, I know of a particular exhibitor who has sold five units and as for accessories, 80% have done operations, which is not as easy as it may seem.", said Jiménez.

Fernando Jiménez has shown himself as a happy executive: "After much work and responsibility to change the date, location and very concept of the living room... I believe that the constancy, learning and evolution of the nautical hall of Valencia, which we do not forget, takes eight editions, has made it possible for us to be here where we are. Tomorrow we started next year's edition... plus, with these two days of open doors we aimed to bring sailing and water sports closer to those interested, and especially the little ones" because they are the future. "

Next edition with more square meters
The success of the competition has led the organization and Consortium Valencia 2007 to confirm the continuity of the Valencia Boat Show in 2017 with a larger area, including the Tinglado nº2. "All doubts about the change in location, date and format have been cleared in the most optimistic way," said the general director of Consorcio Valencia, Vicent Llorens, during his visit to the living room. The leader of the Valencia Navy has also announced that the competition will have more space in its next edition, incorporating Tinglado No 2, which will already be rehabilitated, as part of the living room. "It will become an inescapable quote of the nautical in the Navy, which is where it should be," said Llorens, who has emphasized that "the nautical is an economic activity, that generates occupation, that it creates companies, that it maintains companies, contributes to the positioning of the city and generates tourism supply and demand. I believe that the nautical hall is an essential piece in the Navy itself and in Valencia itself," concluded Llorens.
