On May 23, 1959 the Maritim of Barcelona opened its new new building

This is how the Catalan press of the time prayed: "The Real Club Marítimo de Barcelona has new headquarters... here is the work and equipment that with courage, working without rest, was able to give it up... on May 23, already on the eve of International Regatas, never better gals for such a sporting event, was opened the magnificent building, of new plant, which we can admire on this page, equipped with the best and most modern sports facilities in Spain, both in terms of changing rooms, showers, ships to keep ships, candles and sticks, and in floating springs to attract". And the details of such a great work continued: "For the social life of the Club, the installation has the packaging that its category deserves, and so the living rooms, dining room, library and other dependencies, have been designed with exquisite taste and comfort".

The road map of the Board of the centenary Catalan club was found with many problems... the most serious that the Board of Works of the Port of Barcelona, told them that it needed the space they occupied to expand the Maritime Station. The delicate situation was saved thanks to President Juan Sedó, who worked the miracle. On that unforgettable day of such a distant year, the work of the entire professional staff of the Club, who worked side by side with the managers and the partners, was highlighted by the Maritim leaders, achieving the objective... that is with many difficulties.
