We are in 1960 in the waters of Leixóes, in the legendary Atlantic Sailing Clube of Leixóes... it is the 25th of June and will begin the second edition of the Hispanic Cup of the Snipe class... in line of exit snipes as the name of the regatta of Spain and Portugal says... the wind was so high that the first day was held within the Port of Leixóes (40 knots of the south were reached!).

The winner of the inaugural day, the tandem Fernando Massó and Enrique Llovés with the "Leste" of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo that years later would be proclaimed champion of Spain... the provisional silver for the "Roxane" of Rui Moreira and José Guerra, of the host club, being the bronze for another historic ship: the "Chucbasco II" of Francisco Alvarez and José Manuel Estévez.

The second day began very soon... at nine o'clock in the morning... in the first test of the day and second of the race won another great that that far away year would be the subchampion of Europe: the "Chuvias" of Angel Marina and Julio Ribó, who relegated to the second place Rui Moreira, father of the current mayor of Porto.

In the third manga if he chose to haggle outside the dock, despite the strong sea that there was, being the partial winner "Roxane" which was done with the absolute victory...
