More than 2000 visitors at the Valencia Boat Show
This morning at 10: 00 he opened his doors to the public the Valencia Boat Show, a Valencian nautical hall that for the first time in its history only exhibits new ships. The main shipyards and brands in the sector have not missed the appointment in the living room, presenting a wide range of services, accessories, moorings, engines and nautical clothing, which complete the offer of more than 120 new boats on land and in the floating exhibition. The good weather in Valencia has also not been lacking on the first day of the living room, in which the sun has shone with strength throughout the day.
During the official opening, the new image of one of the ships version 5 of Copa América has been discovered, which has been vinylated with the image of Valencia Boat Show. The event was attended by Fernando Jiménez, president of the Salon; Vicent Llorens, general director of Consortium Valencia 2007; Josep Miquel Torres Moya, general director of Sports; Francisco Molina Agulló, territorial delegate of Presidency of the Generalitat Valenciana and José Vicente Berlanga, managing director of the Municipal Sports Foundation, among other authorities.
The comitiva has then made a tour of the living room to know the facilities and the different exhibitors. At the end of the day, they had the opportunity to greet the crew of the 2016 Transatlantic Pelayo Challenge, five women who have overcome cancer and who will sail from the Valencia Boat Show on November 6 to cross the Atlantic on a 73-foot boat. The tour ended in the Flash Cat 58 Passenger, a new generation multicasco built entirely in the Valencia Community.
On the first day of exhibition, more than 2000 visitors wanted to get close to the Marina Real Juan Carlos I to know the latest developments in the nautical sector.
"A lot of joy, a lot of happiness and a sense of achievement is even above my own expectations," said the president of the nautical hall, Fernando Jiménez, after the presentation. "Exhibitors come from other previous rooms and this is the last chance they have to sell a boat, and I'm sure they will make a maximum effort to reach agreement with potential customers," he concluded.
"Having the Navy full of boats is a very nice image, and if it is related to the business, because it is very good, because it is important for companies to do business and for people to take good services, and for us it is a great satisfaction that the nautical hall of Valencia is held in the Navy," said the director of Consortium Valencia 2007, Vent Llorens.
Good feelings of exhibitors on the first day
After the first day, the exhibitors of the Valencian hall agree on the good general sensations. Richard Hewett, director of Clipper Marine, a new distributor for Bavaria in Spain, said that "we have had a very good first day. We have six ships in exhibition and there is a lot of interest in all models; catamarans, monocascos and motor ships. The time has been fantastic and people have enjoyed watching the boats." Two sea tests are planned for tomorrow, to which others will surely be added throughout the week.
"There have been interesting audiences who have come to see ships and we have several sea tests raised," said Ricardo Bosch of Marina Estrella, representing brands such as Azimut, Hanse or Minorchino, Antonio de la Torre, representative of the French shipyard Dufour, said: "It has been quite well, especially in the morning, there have been many visits of interested people and we are satisfied."
Tomorrow the living room will open from 10: 00 to 19: 00 hours and an even greater influx of visitors is expected due to the holiday. On Wednesday morning there will be the presentation of the X Nautical Salon of Denia, with the presence of the ocean regatist Alex Pella and the presentation of the latest book by journalist Eric Frattini "The Island of the Next Day" in which he recounts the four-month journey he made by the Pacific 24 years ago.
