One of the general assemblies of the RFEV held during the last year.

It has been a year and a few days since the motion of censure that overthrew José Ángel Rodríguez and placed Julia Casanueva in the presidency of the Spanish Vela Federation. It was October 6, 2015. A year later, we are at the door of the electoral period that corresponds to the end of the Olympic cycle and parallel to that of the federal presidency.

In 2015 the Spanish candle reached a point where it either broke with everything - as it did - or fell into the abyss. The motion of censure served as a turning point to give way to a year of transition until the new president can make a new four-year project.

Almost six months of electoral process remain ahead, too long in the opinion of the majority. The elections should be called and at this step until well into 2017 there will be no elected president.

There is no doubt that a world ahead, months and months of indefinition, in an electoral period in which there can be no decisions of improvement for the future.

Now we just need to call for elections, which are already late.
