Valencia Boat Show: more than 120 ships from the top shipyards

This year the Valencian living room is also located in the Marina Real Juan Carlos I, as it will be held in front of the old base of Alinghi and the headquarters of the school of entrepreneurs EDEM and the building of Lanzadera, the company accelerator that supports business leaders, both founded by Juan Roig, president of Mercadona.
The new Valencia Boat Show celebrates its eighth edition from October 31 to November 6, 2016 with a renewed bet that includes a change in the concept and dates of the competition. The Marina Real Juan Carlos I of Valencia will have 12,000 m2 of exhibition that will house a fleet of more than 120 new ships from the main international shipyards, 50 of them in the water and 60 to premiere on land, as well as the main developments of the sector. This was announced by its President, Fernando Jiménez, during the presentation of the living room held this morning, which was attended by the first lieutenant of Mayor of the City of Valencia, Sandra Gómez; the sports councillor of the City of Valencia, Maite Girau; the territorial delegate of the Presidency in Valencia, Francisco Molina Aguiló; and the managing director of the Marina Real Juan Carlos I, among other authorities.
As Jiménez has emphasized, for the first time in the history of the competition, "the Valencia Boat Show will only have new ships." The Valencian living room will be a great window of new developments in the sector, including some of the nominees for the prestigious awardEuropean Yacht of the Year, as in the case of the luxury cruise Bénéteau Oceanis Yacht 62. Visitors to the living room will also be able to meet the renewed Dufour Grand Large series, or Bavaria units like the R40 Fly model, a boat that will mark the new design of the German shipyard, not to forget the fleet of prestitious signatures such as Azimut, Hanse, Jeanneau, Minorchino, Sacks Marine, Karnic, Clear, Sessa Marine, Fibrafort or Quiksilver, among others.

"We have wanted to bet on innovation, quality and professionalism. We want the Valencia Boat Show to be a key date in the Spanish nautical landscape, reach out to more people and take advantage of the quality of the facilities of the Marina Real Juan Carlos I to offer an attractive and quality product in an increasingly open city to the sea," says Fernando Jiménez, president of the Union of Nautical Enterprises (UEN), responsible for the organization of the living room.
The presence of the best international shipyards presenting new models from 2016-17 and a whole fleet of new ships, as well as the possibility of testing the ships at sea on 31 October and 1 November, are the main attractions of this renovated nautical hall, to which are joined the good weather conditions of the city of Valencia and the competitive prices in accommodation and transport, for both exhibitors and visitors.
First living room in Spain with sea tests
The Valencia Boat Show this year becomes the first living room in Spain to offer sea tests to visitors, who will have a unique opportunity to try the boats at sea before making the purchase decision. Thus, on 31 October and 1 November they will be dedicated to sea tests, in which they can participate by having an appointment with the representative of the brand. The implementation of this initiative is in the interest of the shipyards to be able to offer their buyers the full and practical visit of the vessels they want to acquire. "The shipyards were demanding the possibility of testing the ships at sea, as is the case in the main halls of France," said Fernando Jiménez, president of the Valencia Boat Show. "In Valencia, the infrastructures of the Marina Real Juan Carlos I allow us to offer that possibility, so let us not doubt it," he says.
More than 50 boats between 3 and 19 meters long will be tied in the pants of the Marina Real Juan Carlos I, ready to sail during the two days of sea tests. Visitors who wish to do so will be able to travel the Valencian coast on board the ships exposed before being decided by a model.
