Closed the Metromar Circuit in the winning Nereo Hall of Alcudia
Closure of the II National Sports Fishing Circuit Metromar in the heart of the International Nautical Hall of Barcelona, which has been supported by Anen, the Spanish Federation of Fisheries and Casting, as well as the territorial areas of Valencia, Cantabria and Catalunya, and which have organized the Nautical Club of Moraira (Alicante), the Royal Maritime Club of Santander and the Náutic Cambrils Club (Tarragona). The citations were the Spanish Championship that was held in Alicantina waters, the King's Cup in the Cantábrico and the Catalunya Cup on the Tarraconense Golden Coast. In total 80 ships with more than half a thousand athletes on board, who have competed with the most demanding standards of sustainable fishing under the auspices of the Spanish and autonomous authorities, and under the biological control of the Spanish Institute of Oceanography that displaced several of its most distinguished researchers to the different acts of this Metromar Circuit.
The great atmosphere that has reigned throughout the competition has become evident in Barcelona. The sports tension was noted, as the absolute winner of the Metromar Circuit that was the "Nereo" based in Alcudiamar (Balear Federation) equated to points with the Vizcadno ship "Txitxiro I" by Ana Rosa Rincón of the Real Club Marítimo del Abra... but despite this manifest equality the first congratulations to the Mallorquins left the Basque. Amen to the absolute title, prizes were given to the two classifications, generated one in the Cantabric and the other in the Mediterranean. In northern waters the best was the "Macumar" armed by Alberto Vázquez of Real Club Nautico of Marbella. The silver was for "Clave de Luna" by the Valencian José Luis Martínez (who will represent Spain in the next world championship) and the bronze for the "Txitxiro."
In the Mediterranean facet the gold was for "Calabuch" by Jorge Canet, followed by the shooting "Nereo" and the alicantino "La Bona Mar" current champion of Spain of fishing in height. By clubs, with the Martin Codax Trophy in play, the Moraira Nautical Club with the ships "Calabuch" and "La Bona Mar" was proclaimed winner, while the largest piece was achieved by the Mallorcan fisherman Pau García of the "Nereo" a great patud that on the scale exceeded 60 kilograms, piece that was achieved in the King's Cup.
Special mention
In the Metromar Circuito, a special circumstance was given, as it was that three of the participants' ships, were patronised by women: the Basque Ana Rosa Rincón, the Aragonese Mariluz Montesinos and the Catalan Veronica Anchuela. The three received from David Pérez Celma, as well as the best young fisherman, Pau García Jr., mentions by Metromar, which was greatly applauded by the numerous attendees to the event from all over Spain, an event that had the presence of José Luis Bruna Brotóns president of the Spanish, Francisco Estrada de la Catalana, the general director of Anen Carlos Sanlorenzo and Carlos Morales general director of Metropolis, as well as representatives of the companies that sponsored along with Metromar this second edition: Bodegas Martín Códax, Raymarine, and Navionics, and Worionics, and 60.
