The Real Club Náutico de Palma this year organizes the Spanish Cup of class 420

In addition to representatives of the Balear community, they have already confirmed their presence in Palma regatists of the Catalan, Valencian, Galician, Bat, Andalusian and Canary Islands. The participation will be completed by two German and five Swiss teams, which will compete with the rest of the fleet but will not be eligible for the Spanish Cup. The premises are part of the group of favorites. Marc Lladó (RCNP), current Spanish champion, will match Toni Massanet (also RCNP), while María Bover (RCNP) and Clara Llabrés (Club Nàutic S'Arenal), who hold the female title and are also the current subchampions of the world, will try to rise with victory. The Spanish Vela Federation has relied on the RCNP's organizational experience to rehold a top-level competition. It should be recalled that more than a decade ago the Real Club Nautico de Palma did not host a race of category 420 of this entity, after it hosted the Spanish Championship in 2004.

Mou Fraga, RCNP sports director, has highlighted the importance of organizing championships of this level in the low season. "We had been trying to square our calendar with the national tests for a while and I think it will be positive, because it can make some regatists want to repeat and come back to participate in the Ciutat Trophy of Palma that is held in the month of December."
With a view to the award-sharing, the organization has established the categories Absolute, Juvenile Sub 19 and Juvenile Sub 17, all three with male and female divisions. On October 28 it will be reserved for the measurements and sealing of the ships, the registration and delivery of the Regata Instructions, as well as a meeting of patterns and coaches. The tests will take place from 29 October to 1 November.
