Almarin, in collaboration with its local partner Boat Maintenance, has provided twenty buoys to Transport Malta, a public company that regulates maritime activities in Malta, to improve its maritime beacons. Of the total buoys, one will be located in Marsalhorn, four in Valleta, four in Marsaxlokk, one on Gozo Island and one on Comino Island. The remaining nine will be stored as spare buoys.
These buoys are part of the Balizamar range, in particular all CT models except one that, due to the depth of the area, has been chosen for the B1600S model. The buoys are made of a central structure of galvanized steel and its float in rotomolded polyethylene filled with expanded polystyrene foam. All the beacons have been supplied with their respective autonomous lanterns M650 and M860, chains and dead.
