The 'Vengeance' Height Patrol and a Special Naval War Force operating team have carried out these exercises.

The 'Vengeance' High Patrol (P-79) and a strengthened special operations team of the Special Naval War Force conducted bilateral exercises with the Algerian Navy. The ship remained docked in the port of Algiers throughout the week for such training. During the stay in port, the visit was received by the Ambassador of Spain in Algeria, Alejandro Polanco Mata, accompanied by the Defense Attaché in Algeria, as well as the General Chief of the Central Maritime Zone of Algeria. The enhanced special operations team met its objectives by conducting basic training exercises with its Algerian counterparts. Both armed forces carried out naval, ship-boarding and security exercises. The Algerian units involved were LSTH 472 'Kalaat Beni Hammao' and the auxiliary vessel 701 'Mound Jid'.

The 'Vengeance' Height Patrol

It was built in Ferrol and delivered to the Navy in 1982, with base port in Cartagena. In 2004, with the works of transformation, it changed its name and mark from the side of corbeta (F-36) to the high patrol (P-79), and its base in Cartagena. The ship has participated in various national and international exercises, carried out on several occasions the end-of-course cruise of Guardiamarinas and has been part of the Multinational Red Sea Interception Force during the United Nations naval blockade.

The Special Naval War Force

The Special Naval War Force (FGNE) is the Navy's Special Operations Unit and is specially prepared, trained and equipped to carry out, mainly, special operations on, low and from the sea in the maritime and coastal environment. The Special Naval War requires a higher specialization and extra capabilities than a conventional special operations unit. The FGNE, an elite force of the Navy, is made up of members of the Marine Infantry Corps and the Navy General Corps, trained to carry out tasks that require greater risk and specialization.
