Government of the Canary Islands grants for fishery and aquaculture products

The Government of the Canary Islands sets up a regulation for subsidies in the sector (Canary Ports)
The Government of Canaria's Board of Livestock, Agriculture, Fisheries and Water has approved the regulatory bases for the grant concession to compensate for the additional costs incurred by operators of certain fishery and aquaculture products in the Canary Islands, included in the European Fisheries Fund's Operational Programme for Spain, for the programme period 2014- 2020. The new Community regulation for the first time incorporates into this Structural and Investment Fund the subsidies to compensate for the additional costs incurred by operators in fishing, fishing, processing and marketing of certain fishery and aquaculture products in the outermost regions and determines the annual amount of these subsidies (POSEI-Fisheries) for each of these regions for the period 2014-2020, which in the case of the Canary Islands, amounts to €8,700,000 for each of the abovementioned annualities. It will be the subject of the cost compensation for the production, production and cultivation of aquaculture products in aquaculture establishments in the Canary Islands, the marketing of products obtained in aquaculture establishments, the production and marketing of aquaculture products in establishments of seaweed in the Canary Islands, the marketing of aquaculture products outside the Canary Islands and the sale of artisanal products in the Canary Islands, and the marketing of artisanal fisheries. The marketing of fishery products outside the Canary Islands, the processing of fishery or aquaculture products from the Canary Islands and the processing and marketing of fishery products outside the Canary Islands shall also be eligible for fresh and frozen marines outside the Canary Islands.
