The School of Sailing Trophy José Luis de Ugarte- Artea organized by the Real Club Marítimo del Abra - Real Sporting Club de Getxo, was able to complete up to three sleeves, in the final day after their annulment during the first day of competition for the manifest lack of wind. More than 100 and a half regatists, in a total of 126 vessels, were held victories in the Vizcaina waters of the Abra in one of the most relevant light sailing tests of the Cantabric held in the classes Optimist, 420, L'Equipe, Laser 4.7, Laser Radial, Feva and Snipe.
In the Optimist class, the largest in terms of participants, Ander Sánchez of the Nautical Club of Vitoria was defeated, tied to 4 points with the representative of the Real Club Marítimo del Abra Juan Olábarri, one of the largest promises of the Basque candle. In the third square, Tis Rey-Baltar was classified. On the other hand, the cantabre Guillermo Hidalgo won at Optimist B. In the L'Equipe class, the cantabros Luis Beltrán and Hugo Castanedo were defeated; in the 420 class the couple of the host club of the Maritime formed by Alejandro Gallego and Marta Aguirre achieved the gold; in Snipe Amadeo Torrens and María Alonso (also from RCMA-RSC) with three first positions dominated the class with authority; and also with the triumph were their companions of Club Andoni Lejarraga and Íñigo Lejarraga in the FEVA class. The Santanderino Jaime Salcines, on his side, was imposed on Laser 4.7 and the Vizcadino Manolo Rey Baltar on Laser Radial.Getxo's vizcaine waters again showed a fantastic picture on a weekend in September, with over a hundred boats sailing in a test in which the regatists of the future take part. In this new edition there were Basque, Cantabrian and Asturian regatists.

Vigésimosta edition this weekend in the Vizcaina waters of the Regata of the School of Vela José Luis Ugarte that sponsors Artea. Two hundred young regatists participate in one of the par excellence competitions of the Basque candle. They will sail in the Optimist, Laser, Laser Radial, 420, Snipe and L'Equipe classes over 150 units. The Royal Maritime Club of the Abra-Real Sporting Club will compete Basque, Cantabrian, Galician, Asturian and French regatists.The Arteo Trophy - School of Vela José Luis de Ugarte disputes the best of six sleeves in the different classes, with three tours in each day. The six classes of the trophy will be distributed in the two race fields in which the competition takes place, both formed by Olympic triangles. The Optimist and L'Equipe classes will compete in the Inner Abra race field. The remaining classes are already in the race field of the Abra exterior: Laser, Laser Radial, Snipe and 420. All classes will share race hours. On Saturday, 24, the test will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, the 25th,The race will start at 12 noon.

In the last edition, in the Spanish Cup L'Equipe that was included in the competition program of the silver wedding of the trial, Lola and Carmen Coello, of the Real Club of Regatas de Cartagena (Spar Suresteo-Sailing Team), were made with the absolute victory clearly exceeding Juan Holguín and Alejandro Pastor of Extremadura. For their part, Martín Bermudez and Joaquín Armengot, from the Real Club Náutico de Madrid, were imposed in the Snipe class for just one point on the Vizcados Vizcados Amadeo Torrens and María Alonso. In class 420, Juan Llano and Monica Fernández, from the Real Club Marítimo del Abra, ended up as winners of the XXV Trophy Arte- School of Vela José Luis de Ugarte, while the Vizcaños Manolo Rey Baltar in Laser 4.7 and Nicolás Viar in Laser Radial, and the Asturian Daniel Menéndez in Laser Standard, raised the trophy of champions in their respective classes. Juan Olábarri and Manex Albisu, for their part, kept their duel in the final day in the Optimist class, decided at the end in favour of the first with the two regatists tied to 6 points. Javier Torcida won at Optimist B.
