Antonio Yachts doubles the billing and plans to double its production in 2017
The Catalan firm De Antonio Yachts, which in only four years has been able to revolutionize the market for motor sports boats, will start in a few weeks to manufacture its new models in the Portuguese facilities Estaleiros Do Atlantico Lda, with the aim of doubling the volume of production for next year.
With three ships that add up to 15,000 square meters and a highly specialized staff and that accumulates more than 20 years of experience, this shipyard located on the border with Galicia, 20 minutes from Vigo airport, will now assume the production of De Antonio Yachts, which maintains its central office in Barcelona for the technical, commercial, design and marketing direction.
The Portuguese company will increase its staff to meet the demands of the Barcelona brand, which in 2017 is expected to reach the 22 units - it is produced exclusively under order.
"We are very excited about this new stage," explains Marc de Antonio, creator and designer of the firm through his Ubica-id- design study, which will allow us to meet the increasingly growing production demands we have, and also to guarantee the quality of construction. The facilities are perfectly equipped, with a test pool, crane bridges and digital control cutting machines, among others, and have a lot of experience and great productive capacity. "
Antonio Yachts was founded in Barcelona in late 2012 with the creation and marketing of its first model, the D23 Open, which soon became a reference for its innovative design of straight lines, its ingenious solutions and its navigation performance. In 2015 he launched the D23 Tender and D23 Cruiser models, as well as the older brothers D33 Cruiser and D43 Cruiser. During 2016, De Antonio Yachts has consolidated its international distribution network and manufactured the first units of the new D33 Open model; it has also designed the new D43 Open and prepared the presentation of the D28, available from 2017. With eight models launched in just four years, it is the only Spanish shipyard with continued presence in the most important international and national nautical halls.
Since its creation, the firm led by Marc de Antonio and Stanislas Chmielewski has doubled its billing year by year, and with the new production plant plans to bill more than 4 million euros next year.
Stanislas Chmielewski adds: "We are proud to have created a brand in just four years. Now we want to continue to grow, because, despite being a very young company, we have very high business expectations. In 2017 we will launch the D28, which we anticipate will be one of the best sellers of the range, and the American market can give us very good results."
The Spanish brand currently exports 70% of its production to the United States, Australia, France, Great Britain, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
