The "Nereo," armed by José García Vicens, from Alcudiamar (Mallorca), has been declared the absolute winner of the Catalunya Cup of High Fishing, the last notable test for the Metromar Circuit of Sports Fishing, which have organized the Núutic Club of Cambrils and the Federació Catalana de Pesca Sportiva, with the support of the Spanish Federation of Fisheries and Casting. With this victory the Majorcan ship has also achieved gold in the total computation of the Circuit, composed of this contest, in union with the King's Cup and the Spanish Championship. The bullet ship obtained 6 points from its fifth place in Santander and the first in Cambrils, and the "Txxito I," by Ana Rosa Rincón, from the Marítimo del Abra vizcadino, the same, resulting from two third ports. In the end, the title of champion was decided, according to the regulations, by the ship that had obtained the best score on the last tarraconense date.

In the second day of this Copa Catalunya, the catches did not have the desired abundance, since they only managed to point out "Txitxiro," which was in the closing sleeve, and the "Saraceno II," by Manuel Morales Navajas, of the Cambrils. The "Nereo," armed by José García Vicents, from Alcudiamar (Mallorca), is the provisional leader - at the end of the first day - of the Copa Catalunya de Pesca de Altura, the last notable test for the Metromar Circuito de Pesca Deportiva. Today, corresponding to the first manga of the tournament, 20 vessels from Euskadi, Catalonia, Balearic Islands and Valencia took off. To highlight the few catches despite the quality of the participants in this responsible fishing event, which has the supervision of biologos- researchers of the Spanish Institute of Oceanography. Only nine valid pieces, the largest of them, were captured by Jorge Canet of the "Calabuch," a 11.25-point albacora. However, the winner of this first act, the "Nereo" achieved three albacoras, with a total of 24,150 points. After the two mentioned was the "Pajarraco" of Alejandro Olabarría of the Nautical Club Cambrils; "La Montse" of Tomás Pallarés also of Cambrils; the "Mar 2000" of Joan Teixidó, of the Real Nautical Club of Tarragona; and the "Enterenam" of Santiago Salinas of the Nautical Club of Hospitalet. These six ships were the only ones that achieved valid catches.

In the Martin Códax Trophy of Clubs leads the table the Moraira Nautical Club of the Valencia Community, which has everything in its favor to be made with the victory, with the permission above all of the Cambrils Nautical Club.
