Great success of the Punta del Este- Estrella Levante Regata, with 80 ships registered

The Rodman 42 "Maverta" patronized by Pedro Gil adds a new title in this season. Now it does so by registering for the first time its name in the Punta Este- Este-Estrella Levante Regata in which twelve clubs have been involved, in addition to offering a joint departure on the Saturday day the Real Club Nautico de Torrevieja and the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante. The ship of Pedro Gil has been the dominator of the race from the beginning to the end, achieving a profit of up to five minutes on others of the great favorites such as the Alicantino "Tanit III Medilevel," second in the general and also in its category ORC A... the cartagJanuary "Dieselrec" achieved bronze.

"Viryi" and Pulpo Negro, the two of the Torrevieja Club and the "Saleroso 2.0" took the first squares of the ORC B. In ORC, podium formed by "Ewoin 2," from the Nautico de Cabo Palos, followed by "Fenicio IV" of Lo Pagán and "Illusion IV" of Marina International. The award of trophies, held at the Club Náutico Villa de San Pedro, has been chaired by the City Council of San Pedro de Pinatar, Daniel Pérez; accompanied among other personalities by the Director General of Estrella de Levante, Patricio Valverde and the president of the local club, Armando Cubero, as well as representatives of the clubs of Cartagena, Santiago López and Torrevieja, Gabriel Hostalet and the Technical Committee of the Regata.

The figures do not deceive and the I Regata Punta Este has already become, even before starting and knowing the sports results, one of the most important calls in the Region of Murcia with 80 ships registered, - a significant number belongs to the fleet in the southern part of the Valencia Community,the maximum ceiling provided for by the Organizing Committee. Last Monday the whole sign was hung, thus closing the on-line inscription and opening a reserve list where there are already ships hoping to have a hole and be able to participate in the test. The quantity is not in line with quality, as among the ships that will be on the starting line on the first day of Saturday with that coastal race, both in Cartagena and in Torrevieja, are the best units of the Region and the Community, among which we can highlight Maverta, Malicia, Pulpo Negro, Dieselrec, Hakuna S, Zalata, Greek or Pinto Tercera. As for the sports program, there is no change, so at 11: 25 hours the sign of attention is planned at the Real Club de Regatas de Cartagena and Real Club Nautico de Torrevieja. The two fleets will head for Cabo Palos, at which point the arrival line will be located. The exit top for the second day, already with the fleet grouped in the nautical Villa of San Pedro, has been established at 11: 00.

The I Regata Punta del Este- Este Levante is organized by the Club Náutico Villa de San Pedro, and has the support of new nautical clubs of the Region of Murcia and Comunitat Valenciana: RCR de Cartagena, CN Mazarrón, CN Águilas, CN Santa Pola, RCN Torrevieja, Marina de las Salinas, CN Campoamor and CN Torre Horadada. The official presentation will be held this Wednesday. For this first delivery the number of registered ships already exceeds sixty, even in the absence of the official closure of inscriptions that will occur in just over a week. An event that goes far beyond the strictly sports, although in this line the race will have some special fans and that make the Punta Este Regata a different test of how many have been held.

For the first day, Saturday 18, the committees intend to give two simultaneous exits, with the clubs of Cartagena and Torrevieja as the main escape. This first test will be a coastal race that will take the two fleets to Cabo Palos, where the arrival line will be located. After this the ships will set out to the base port that will be located in Villa de San Pedro. The Bat Club will be the protagonist in the second and last day with a single test among buoys. After the race is closed, and already in the nautical Villa of San Pedro the end of the feast will be put to the Punta Estrella Levante Regata, who will deliver gifts to the participants in addition to the trophies to the winners in their respective categories.
