Both the "Mojito" and the "Markab" have been the solo protagonists of this dispute over the national. Terceros have also been the Galician Jaime Miranda and Marta Pérez of the Coruñés nautical. The competition in the water will be resumed on Wednesday day with the race of sponsors and to which will follow Thursday the prestigious Edminton Thophy, race of teams among some of the most renowned clubs worldwide.

Second Day: Dust in Snipe between the Cantabrian and Galician fleets

The crown for the title of the Champion of Spain Master is very expensive, as demonstrated today by the crew of Pereda-Pumariega and Bermudez de Castro-Pardo, who have been beaten in a tight duel since the beginning of the day. The first race of the day was to be held by Fran Ramirez and Alvaro Perez, the Royal Mediterranean Club of Malaga, followed by Roberto Bermudez De Castro and Jose Ramon Pardo, the Real Nautical Club of Coruña. Third were also the Galician Jaime Miranda and Marta Perez of the Coruñés Nautico. Pereda and Pumariega (Real Club Marítimo de Santander and Real Club Astur de Regatas) played a fifth place in the third race and gave the lead to Bermudez de Castro and Pardo. For the last race of the day, Pereda and Pumriega reacted by marking distances again and taking a test that gave them the provisional classification again. Seconds were Angel and Javier Ballesteros of the Motril Nautical Club and third Jaime Miranda and Marta Perez, while Bermudez de Castro and Pardo gave the lead with a fourth position. Everything is open for the outcome on the closing day, with only seven points between the first three classified and only three points between the first (Pereda-Pumariega) and the second (Bermudez de Castro-Pardo).

The open santanderin seemed lazy in the opening day with light wind conditions of North component of just five knots of intensity in the first race. The fall of the wind forced the Regatas Committee to move the test area to Bahia, where a second test could finally be disputed with about eight knots of north-north-east. The competition will be resumed on Saturday day with two tests for the Snipe class at 1 p.m. and for the cruise class, J80 and classics from 3 p.m.
