2016- SPAIN ACTION IN THE JUNIOR-SUB23-SENIOR N.O. WORLD
Rodrigo Conde Romero and Adria Mitjavila Ventura, have been proclaimed world champions up 23 in the male double-scull light category, in the Remo World Championships held in Rotterdam for the Junior, Sub23 and Senior categories (non-Olympic boats). The biggest rivals of the Spanish couple were the Italians being the bronze finally for the French. The times for which they obtained medals were 6.52: 31, 6.54: 70 and 6.58: 27 respectively. In total, they competed 20 boats of the specialty in the race field of William Alexander Dutch. Count and Mitjavila had stayed very close to being in Rio 2016, and this victory comes to compensate for the enormous disappointment they were unable to access the Brazilian Olympic event. This achievement of the Spaniards in Rotterdam has been the only one in our country under Sub23.

The National Team is competing in Rotterdam in the Junior, Sub23 and Senior World Championship for non-Olympic categories. Some 1,900 sportsmen are involved in a total of 684 vessels from 70 countries, including Spain, which is represented by 12 boats in the three categories at stake. The competition starts on August 21 for the Sub23, Monday 22 for the senior non-Olympic boats, and Wednesday August 24 for the youth.
