The International Olympic Committee (IOC) to add the Surfing to the Sports Program for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The vote which adopted this option was unanimously taken during the 129 IOC session in Rio de Janeiro. ISA President Fernando Aguerre, only to know the news has expressed his joy and gratitude on behalf of all the surf lovers to the IOC:"After decades of hard work and dedication we are absolutely excited that the Surfing will officially join the Tokyo Sports Programme 2020. This is a time that changes the game for the Surfing. We already see an increase in the popularity of sport around the world and the Olympic Games will provide an incredible platform to further show the Surfing and its fundamental values.
