Don Felipe approached Adolfo Suárez Airport to fire Olympic athletes who are already on their way to Rio 2016

Much of the Spanish Olympic team is already travelling to Rio de Janeiro where the Olympic Games will officially begin on August 5. Yesterday they were received in La Moncloa by the President-in-Office, Mariano Rajoy, and today it was the Kings of Spain, Don Felipe and Doña Letizia, who have come to Madrid airport to wish them great luck on the Olympic meeting. The opening ceremony, which will be held on Friday, August 5, at 23: 00 (Spanish time, 18: 00 in Rio de Janeiro), will give the official gunshot to the Olympic Games in Rio 2016.

The Spanish rowing shall be represented by two boats:

2-F: Aina Cid and Anna Boada. Belarus, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, South Africa and the USA have been classified as such.

2-M: Pau Vela and Álex Sigurbjörnsson. They'll face Australia, Rep. Czech, France, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Romania, South Africa, Serbia and USA.

The four athletes travel with the technicians Xavi González, responsible for the female team, and Daniel Rodríguez, the male. The President of the Spanish Federation of Remo, Fernando Climent, will join a few days later.

The rowing competition will begin next Saturday, August 6 at 8.30 (local time, 13.30 Spanish time), with the removal dispute. The 2-M will be released on the same day, from 10.30 (local time); while the female boat will be released on Sunday, August 7, from 10.10 (local time).
