Five women, cured of cancer, will cross the Atlantic by sailing.

On November 6, the last day of the Valencia Boat Show, has been the date and stage chosen for the official departure of the 2008 Pelayo Vida Transántico. This is a marked social expedition in which five women who have overcome cancer will cross the Atlantic on a 73-foot-long boat and 37 tons of displacement.

In 2015, the Pelayo Vida Challenge brought together for the first time five women who had overcome breast cancer to perform a real feat of overcoming: climbing the Kilimanjaro, the highest point on the African continent. On this occasion the chosen challenge has been the crossing of the Atlantic Ocean, with a tour that will start from Valencia and, after taking a stop in Marbella and Tenerife, it is expected to reach the Caribbean island of Martinique in December. On board the boat will be the five adventurers, accompanied by three journalists, one of them the creator of the Challenge Pelayo Vida Eric Frattini; the professional regatists Diego Fructuoso, Iago López and Wouter van Axel and a doctor from Quironsalud.
