The Bàrbara Cornudella and Sara López premiums have arrived in Rio without making any noise. The 470 Women's class is the one most aspiring to get the Olympic Square, including two Olympic champions from London 2012, Sofia Toro and Angela Pumayega and two veterans in this class such as Marina Galician and Fátima Reyes.

The union between the two, both family and sports, has been the key to the classification for Rio. In 2012 they took the leap from 420 to 470 boat with which they were proclaimed in 2015 champions of Junior Europe.

Cornudella and López have been the great revelation in the selection for Rio, although in junior category they have already demonstrated their value, with gold and bronze in 470 in the 2015 and 2013 European Championships.

His coach is Jorge Angulo, who was already at the Olympic Games in Beijing and London.

Spain has been classified for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in nine of the ten Olympic sailing classes, all but the Finn. The Laser Radial class has been the last to get the classification, which is not yet defined the regatists that will represent Spain and that will be decided during the Kieler Woche, race to be held from 22 to 26 June in Germany. A total of 270 regatists from 62 countries will participate, apart from Brazil as host nation, only France, Britain and the United States have classified all classes, ten. They follow you with nine Spain, Australia, Argentina, Canada and Italy.

The Spanish Olympic Vela Team, which runs Toni Ripoll, presents itself to the great Olympic event of Rio 2016 as the sport that has given Spain the most medals in all history, a total of 19 medals, 13 of them gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze, and 25 diplomas.
