Ivan Pastor is the most veteran member of the Spanish Olympic Sailing Team 2016 in terms of participation in Olympic Games, he has four consecutive. Since he selected from the team that participated in Athens 2004, he has not given the rest a choice, also being the Spanish representative in Beijing 2008, London 2012 and now Rio 2016.
Always in the mode of windsurfing, in Athens it did in the Mistral class and from Beijing it has not come down from the Olympic RS: X. In the last decade it has been almost always in the top ten of the world Olympic class ranking.
It is a classic on all Olympic, global and European dates and after three shares in the JJ.OO. His Olympic career has gone further, he finished 12 in Athens, 9 in Beijing and seeks at least to exceed the fifth place in London 2012. Its aim is to overcome these positions, which would mean fighting to be on the podium, where it has been working and dreaming for over a decade.
Pastor will be one of the most veterans on the starting line, which may be a factor to take into account, as in these cases the experience is a degree and that of Santa Pola, will be one of the candidates to follow closely. His coach is Alex Guyader.
