The Santander Maritime Summer Sailing School

The Sailing School of the Royal Maritime Club of Santander will be operational until the beginning of September.
The Summer School of Sailing is running for another year, waiting as in previous years to give you the best possible service. This year we will have children from 6 years (completed at the time of the course) to 17 years. We maintain the three weeks of promotion in which partners and guests of partners who have the illusion of learning sailing can participate. We have prepared a plan of learning and improvement, comfortable and simple so that you can enjoy the sport of the candle according to the level each student has. The course of sailing initiation for those who first do it and of improving their knowledge and practice for those who have already attended before. It is intended for children aged 6 to 17, whether they are children of a number partner of the Santander RCM or invited.
Duration and dates
- The course season will start on June 20 and end on September 2.
- The duration of the courses is one week, Monday to Friday.
Hours
- Half-day morning courses: from 10: 00 to 13: 00 h from Monday to Friday
- Half-day afternoon courses: from 15: 00 to 18: 00 h from Monday to Friday
- Morning and afternoon courses: from 10: 00 to 13: 00 h and from 15: 00 to 18: 00 h from Monday to Friday
- Full day courses with food: from 10: 00 to 18: 00 h from Monday to Friday
- The staff of the RCMS School of Sailing will take care of the students during the time set in each case

- Two raquero-type group vessels
- Nine ships type Optimist
- Six vessels type RS Feva
- 3 vessels 420
- Six pneumatic vessels to protect the students
- Technical staff entitled
- Life jackets for all students
Access requirements
- Have a minimum of 6 years at the time of the course. Age must be credited by official document (IID or family book)
- You know how to swim.
- Fill in and submit a corresponding application.
- Pay the fees required for each course and present proof of entry to the Royal Maritime Club in Santander
- Be a RCMS number partner, son of RCMS number partner or guest of a number partner
Number of places and admission criteria
- The number of places will be 15 per course to be relocated to the available vessels.
- The students will be located in the different classes of vessels, taking into account their level and physical constitution.
- Inscriptions shall be admitted by order of presentation, giving priority to the partners and full day courses.
- Students who are unable to access the course due to lack of capacity are tried to relocate in previous or subsequent weeks.
