Marina de Denia hosts all year round sports activities and competitions for young and older people.

The Marine Sports and Tourism Port of Denia has just obtained the Certificate of Sports Quality granted by the International Institute of Excellence and Sports Certifications (INNS) to the entities and organizations that meet the requirements.

Marina de Denia has been supporting sport for years, both land disciplines and those practiced at sea. "Our port decided several years ago to host and support the sports events that were organized in Denia. The location and its surroundings make this port the ideal place to develop many sports disciplines. Sport and tourism must go hand in hand and Denia has both. This is why we are embarking on the adventure of spreading the sports culture of the city," says Gabriel Martínez, director of Marina de Denia.

Over the past few years, the sports activity in Marina de Denia has been growing. Last month the marina hosted two new international events that will mark a before and after in the city, it is the Offshore Mediterranean Challenge and the World Water Motorcycle Championship. In addition, the ocean navigator Alex Pella has its base of operations in Marina de Denia. The Mediterranean SUP Circuit 2015 and 2016 has also been held with more than 150 Riders. "This certification has made us a lot of illusion, it is one more step that helps us to continue to bet on sports activity," says Gabriel Martínez.

In this effort to support sport, Marina de Denia has created the Nautical Activities Centre, which this summer has opened for the second consecutive year. It includes group and private Paddle Surf (SUP) classes, Paddle Surf material rental (with instructor supervision), Paddle Surf to Les Rotes and Kayak to the Tallada Cova.

During the month of July, from 9: 30 to 13: 30 hours at the Nautical Activities Centre, the Kid's Summer Camp Paddle Surfing Experience is being developed, a campus where children between 8 and 13 years of age participate. All activities are carried out with international surf monitors and paddle surfing. "The ultimate goal is to achieve understanding and understanding of what it means to surf and enjoy the sea actively," says Diego de Alza, surf instructor and paddle surf.

Other activities include Sup Yoga, meditation and balance at sea on the beach of the Marineta Cassiana, Y, Sup Pilates "Moveyourself," on Thursday at 8: 00 in the morning at the Marineta Cassiana.
