In the morning of today the "Saint Maxime" I was crossing about three. sentence line, as the great Marcelo Otero would say, in Angra do Heroismo in the heart of the Archipelago of the Azores. The Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona returned to the path of prestige, to the path of daring and the daring sailor, which so many historical successes have given to the Galician and Spanish candle.

It has not been easy to conclude this adventure. It has not been easy to bring together ten boats, loaded with good sailors and excellent sailors. It has not been easy to convince them to make a race of about a thousand miles... and it has not, simply because of the terrible crisis we have.

It is clear that the artist has been the whole team that presides over the good of José Luis Alvarez... but you are going to allow me to be within him and with due respect for others, to highlight the figure of Alechu Retolaza, whom I have known since 1982, which is not little: 34 years ago!

I hired Alechu when the MRCY decided to support the windsurfing, organizing that already legend Spanish TVD Championship Solar Nivea, which Javier de la Gandara won in struggle with the magnificent windsurfer Ronald Van Vien.

Alechu was part of the Staff of those Chrysler Regades, of several World Championships, of the Master Fortuna or of the Open of Spain... I even had the pleasure of having him as Director of Wor60 Spain... I know him very well and today I just got up I sent him my most sincere and deserved congratulations.

Alechu for me has been a privileged student... is law of life... is like one of the characters of that fantastic film of "The Unending History.".. before you meet Alejandro Retolaza Vázquez VisoI met his father... Chema Retolaza. The Patriarch of the Retolaza (there goes the bear, for) helped me a lot and I had the honour to work closely with him. The fruit of this relationship we organize a delicious fishing championships... the result of it is currently considered to be something like the "number one" At the national level of the world of sports fishing... I certainly owe Chema a lot, as I owe José de la Gandara Llanos, father of José, Javier, Angel & Andrés Playboy Band, or Bernardo Alfageme, or Alberto Luis Alemany, or Roberto Padilla, or Luis Senra, or Paulino Tenacio, or Carlos Soto. Together we made the Yates Club a reference for fishing at the national level... and look where I am in this sport located: director of the Metromar Circuit, I have been of the Rodman, I have organized several times Copa del Rey, Spanish Championships, Copas de Catalunya, Copas de Euskadi,...

That's why the only thing I've tried to do with Alechu, was what his father and other good friends have done with me: teach me and trust my possibilities... I'm sure in a few years, some advanced student of this Retolaza will write a similar article to mine: ENHORABUENA!
