The Spanish navigator, Alex Pella, has been sailing during the month of June at Imoca 60 "Bastide Otio," where Kito de Pavant is preparing the Vendée Globe. "This month's goal was to learn and qualify me for the Vendée Globe, as my friend Kito's reserve pattern," said Alex Pella, on his return to Denia.

Alex Pella has assured that it has been an intense month, "in which we have completed the development of the ship, exits with sponsors at its base of Port Camargue". In addition, they have competed in the Giraglia high race, where they have participated 250 ships and have been classified fourth and completed a 1,500-mile tour between Port Carmargue - Menorca - Ustica (Sicily) - La Galita / Tunisia and back to Port Camargue again. The preparation for the Vendée Globe has been a parenthesis, as just before, Alex Pella, was sailing with the maxi tritarán "Idec Sport" and in a few days he will embark on the "Oman Sail," a 70-foot tritaran with which he will participate in the mythical Transat Québec - Saint Malo.
