Theresa Zabell wants to bring her feelings of support to the great family of the Spanish candle at this hard time for Jane Abascal and her daughters

"I met Jane Abascal in 1985, he was the coach who accompanied me to the ISAF World Championship in La Rochelle and I thought it was a luxury. The first World Championship I went to with a technician. To the previous four worlds I had gone thanks to the help of my people and the support of my club, which I began to take off, but with Jane's assistance, his experience and his advice we managed to win the first female World Cup in the history of the Spanish candle.

From that moment on, I was encouraged to jump into the newly incorporated Olympic class 470 female and the rest is history. At least the sports part.

As for the personal relationship, it has been much more important to me than the sports results. I discovered a great man and, like all great men, I had a great woman next to him, Marigel. Let us forge a friendly relationship of which it is truly worth it.

The last few years have not been easy for Jane and Marigel and have been a great example of union and the fight against adversity.

For Jane, I can only have words of appreciation and gratitude for everything he has given me and, even if he humbly considers me no one to do so, to our dear sport as well.

Now that Marigel rests in peace, we all have to return Jane a little bit of how much he has given us and be by his side. We can't fail.

With all my love for Lucia, Ana and Jane Abascal. "
