The spectacular battle for real-time triumph in the 38th edition of the La Sal Rumbo Ibiza Route has had its expected resolution in Sant Antoni de Portmany with the victories of the Tapioca, in the Barcelona Version, and the Plis Play, in the Denia Version, after an intense journey with wind conditions that reached 25 knots in different sections of the race.

The fleet that took the exit from Port Ginesta lived a competing duel in the head between the Tapioca, an ICE 66 armed by José Agnaldo Andrade, and the Gymir, a Maxi Dolphin 65 of Manel Codina. The fleet's largest sailboats, which had a very similar rating, fought a real-time duel that ended with the Tapioca's victory for its best performance with bearing winds, which in the end were the ones that transported the ships to Ibiza.

Denia's version had a much more resounding dominator in terms of real time, as Vicente García Torres expanded his legend as a owner of the Plis Play by achieving his eighth real-time win with the historic saga, as he won in 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 with his previous Farr 520, and in 2012, 2015 and 2026 with the current Swan 80. Vicente García, with this triumph, extends the most laureate shipowner status in the history of the race. Ivan Moreno, responsible for the Plis Play, reflected the enormous satisfaction of the crew after the triumph.

Tomorrow the absolute final winners of this 38 edition of La Rúbo de la Sal Rumbo Ibiza will be known as soon as all participants cross the arrival line and the rating is determined. At noon this Friday, 20 ships were to be completed.
