Route of Sal: 140 cruises with more than 900 regatists heading to Ibiza
The thirty-eighth edition of the Sal Rumbo Ibiza Route promises to become one of the most spectacular in history. The more than 900 regatists on 140 cruises have already crossed the line of departure in their two simultaneous versions: the one that has left Port Ginesta in Barcelona, and the one that has done it from the Real Club Náutico Denia, both with the same final destination: the Club Nàutic Sant Antoni, in Ibiza (Photo Torveo)
The forecast is particularly promising in the Port Ginesta version, as the weather side provides for spectacular wind conditions that allow the fleet's most powerful sailboats to be able to improve the current record, which is in the hands of the Caro, a Knierim 50 armed by Maximiliam Klink, since 2011 with 13 hours, 18 minutes and 54 seconds. There are two main candidates to beat this record: the Tapioca, an ICE 66 by José Agnaldo Andrade, and the Gymir, a Maxi Dolphin 65 by Manel Codina.
