Sofia, white day 879 regatists start the Olympic candle
The ORC, One Design and Hansa 303 classes were fired from the 55 Princess Sofia Mallorca Trophy by Fergus Hotels with a blank day
The end of the non-Olympic heavy candle in the 55 Trophy Princess Sofia Mallorca by Fergus Hotels closed with the classifications, in which there was no variation... because the wind force, prevented it.
In ORC 0-2, the title was the Haltbroken of the German Michael Berghorn; in ORC 3, the Bitxet of the Menorcan Antoni Cavaller; in ORC 4-5, the Lampo Rosso of Joan Jofre; and in Sportboat, the Abracadabra of Mark Sadler. Among the monotypes, the Joakim Sundberg Trinity was awarded the Cape 31 class; the Virginia Alvarez Stella was the best in 6 Meters Open; and Pete Cooke's Meteor Racing was imposed in the Dragon category.
In the historic return of the candle adapted to the Sofia, the event brought together 22 teams of Hansa 303 at the base of Port d'Andratx. The absolute triumph was for the class world champion, the Polish Piotr Cichocki, followed by the world subchampion, the Portuguese Joâo Pinto, and the Spanish Pau Toni Homar, who also proclaimed himself the winner of the Spain Cup of Hansa 303.
