The Majorca Sailing Center gives way to Princess Sofia

The Regata of the Mallorca Sailing Center was forced to suspend one day due to the strong winds in the Bay of Palma. After an opening day with soft breezes and a second day with unstable but navigable conditions, the fleet of more than 300 ships from 41 countries had to remain on the ground due to the strong winds in the Bay of Palma. The event concluded with the results of the first two days, which included four races in classes ILCA 6, ILCA 7 and 49erFX, five in class Nacra 17 and six in class 49er
The Majorcan Paula Barceló and the Canaria María Cantero were crowned champions in the competitive class 49erFX, which brought together about fifty boats.
The 49ers were the most active category of the event. The victory was for the Americans Nevin Snow and Ian MacDiarmid, five points ahead of the Swiss Sebastien Scheiter and Arno De Pkanta, and seven points ahead of the Polish duo Dominik Buksak and Mateusz Gwozdz.
In class ILCA 6, Irish Eve McMahon rose with victory, ending five points ahead of Indian Nethra Kumanan and ten points ahead of Belgian Emma Plasschaert.
In class ILCA 7, the leader of the previous two days, Italian Dimitri Peroni, also rose with the victory, getting the greatest advantage of the entire fleet: 17 points ahead of Irish Fiachra McDonell and 20 points ahead of Israeli Reem Pulci.
In the Nacra class 17, the Argentines Mateo Majdalani and Eugenia Bosco were imposed, with five points of advantage over the Dutch couple formed by Willemijn Offerman and Scopio Houtman, and 13 points ahead of the Austrians Laura Farese and Matthäus Zöchling.
