The third edition of the Regata OptiGetxo-Memorial José Luis Azqueta, organized by the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club, was decided on the second day in the waters of the Abra exterior, as the first planned had to be postponed by the inclemences of time. They sailed, on a hard day with a lot of wave - up to two metres - about 60 promises of the Basque candle, belonging to the host club, the Nautical Club of Hondarribia, the Real Nautical Club of San Sebastián and the Nautical Club of Vitoria. For this Regata OptiGetxo-Memorial José Luis Azqueta, the categories sub-11, sub-13 and sub-16 were established in a valid competition for the Basque League.

Nicolás Bastard, from the Maritime of the Sands, was the winner in the absolute category of Optimist (3 points) with his partner Andrea Criado in the second position (7 points) and the gipuzcoan Tomás Jáuregui in the third (8 points). Fourth was Telmo Baqueriza and fifth Bruno-varri. In the female category Lola Criado, from the organizing club, was imposed with her partner Laura Angulo in the second square and Martina Altuna, from the Royal Nautical Club of San Sebastián, in the third. Among the sub-13 he won Diego Jáuregui, from the Nautical Club of Hondarribia, in the male category and Adela Penide, from the Getxo Club, in the female category. Jon Casasempere, from the Royal Nautical Club of San Sebastián, first finished in sub- 11.
