European 470 Xammar- Cardona and Mas- from Maqua, will fight for the medals

The 470 Joint European Championship in Vilamoura (Portugal) has already defined the ten crews that will fight tomorrow the Medal Series. These include the two crews of the Spanish pre-Olympic team, Jordi Xammar and Marta Cardona, and Silvia Mas and Alejandro de Maqua, which have been classified after the fifth and penultimate day of competition (Photo Sailing Energy)
Today Friday the last day of the final series has been held, with the two planned races completed in the Portuguese Algarve race field. After these sleeves, the championship is ready for its outcome tomorrow Saturday with the Medal Series, reserved for the first ten crews of the general classification.

For their part, Silvia Mas (CN Arenal) and Alejandro "Tano" de Maqua (CN El Balís) have also achieved their classification for the Medal Series after adding today a ninth and a fourth, consolidating the progression shown along the championship and after about 10 months since they decided to join efforts to form crew (Photo Sailing Energy)
With a seventh and a third in today's two tests, the crew formed by Jordi Xammar (RCN Barcelona) and Marta Cardona (CN Arenal) will face the decisive day from the third provisional position, remaining in full struggle for the medals. The Spanish, current world champions reach the final after a very solid week in the head group. The silver is 9 points right now, and the gold is 13.
