The 40 edition of the 200 Mile A2 offshore race, organized by the Nautical Club of Altea, has crowned the new European champions ORC A2 2026, after a week of competition marked by changing weather conditions and a great tactical demand for crews.

The championship was decided after the combination of two tests: a 37-mile short offshore race and the traditional 200-mile long race, whose tour led to the fleet from Altea to around Ibiza and Formentera before returning to the Valencian coast. In this second test, the fastest ships completed the tour in about 37 hours, in a very tactical race marked by gillings, pressure changes and a fast final stretch.

In Class A, the European title was for the ZIVING (Grand Soleil 46 S) by Javier Arbona and Bruno García (RCN Valencia), who signed a very regular performance with a second place in the short race and a third in the long run.

The silver was for the FORMULA X (XR 41) by Rodrigo Sanz and David Madrazo (RCN Palma), while the COOL - Nautical Area (Azuree 46) by Daniel Maestre and Pablo Geras (CN Jávea) completed the podium.

In Class B, the continental title was for the FALAPOUCO (Dufour 40 DK) by José Ballester and Andrés Manresa (RCN Torrevieja), who combined a victory in the short race with a third place in the long test to secure the championship.

The second position was for AZUREE (Azuree 33 Mod) by Eduardo Horrach and Andreu Juan (RCN Palma), while the REGULUS 1 (J / 99 DK) by Alfonso López and Ivan Elejabeitia (CNR Cartagena) completed the podium.

In Class C, the European title was for the AURORA (First 36.7) by Javier Lledó and Jesús del Toro (RCN Calpe), thanks to a very consistent performance in both championship tests.

The second position was for XUFIN (X-99) by Jorge San Simón and Carlos Pareja (RCR Alicante), with YABADABA TOO (X-382) by Martin Aizcorbe and Joan Frixes (RCN Palma) in third place.

In addition to European titles, the race maintained its traditional general classification. In this 40th edition, the absolute victory was for FALAPOUCO, by José Ballester and Andrés Manresa, thanks to their regularity in both tests.

The second square was for AZUREE, by Eduardo Horrach and Andreu Juan, while the third place was held by REGULUS 1, by Alfonso López and Ivan Elejabeitia.
