The women's national circuit starts with 16 confirmed teams. The first event will be on March 7 and 8 in Getxo
The Iberdrola League 2026 has started its countdown with an initial number of confirmed teams, up to 16, which confirms the good timing of the female circuit of the Royal Spanish Federation of Vela and its consolidation as a reference platform for the development of female talent in the Spanish sailing.
The league already has a solid base of equipment confirmed by 2026, among which are combined consolidated crews and new projects that will debut in the circuit throughout the season. It also highlights the increase in territorial representation, with the participation of six autonomous communities.

In this edition, the circuit presents a balanced combination between teams that repeat participation and new additions. They are faithful to the Iberdrola League consolidated crews such as those of the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club, Club Náutico Altea, Club Náutico Arenal, Real Club Náutico Puerto de Pollensa, Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria, Madrid Navega and the Federation of Sailing of the Murcia Region, although some of them incorporate new regatists. The Royal Nautical Club Calpe, though with a new team, and the Real Nautical Club of Palma, also repeat the participation, even though it will not be able to complete the entire Circuit
The Iberdrola League 2026 has been able to attract new crews representing previously underrepresented territories in this championship. On the one hand, Catalunya consolidates its participation with two teams: after its premiere at the end of last year, the Nautico Club El Balís has confirmed its registration throughout the circuit, and then a second mixed team of regatists from El Balís, El Masnou and Punta Umbria has joined. In addition, new projects extend the territorial scope of the circuit, with the addition of the Real Club Náutico San Sebastián, the Real Federación Galician de Vela, the Club Náutico Sevilla and the Club Náutico Ibiza. It also highlights the registration of a team representing the Armed Forces.
With this basis of participation and the support of Iberdrola and of the Unique Mujer programme of the Higher Council of Sports, the Iberdrola League 2026 is preparing to start a new season that will revisit Spanish geography with the aim of promoting women's sport and further strengthening the candle as a space for equality and opportunities.
