Highlights in this race of athletes from different autonomous communities such as Valencia, Galicia, Castilla la Mancha, Baleares,..., in addition to Andalusia

With excellent navigation conditions, on 21 and 22 February, the Windsurfer 2026 Cup of Andalusia was held in La Línea (Cadiz).

On the first day of the race, 4 tests were held, 3 on a demanding round of fogs and 2 laps and a 3 round round of fogs-slalom, which was very applauded by the regatists. On Sunday day, two valid tests were completed, giving a total of 6 tests, one for the final classification.

Before the start of the competition, all the registered were in two categories of weight, light and heavy, setting the cut on this occasion in the 75 kg

LIGERUS CATEGORY: The young onubense Tristan Melgarejo highlighted that with a high dose of motivation and high physical level he rose with victory. After Tristan, the linense Ricardo Jiménez reached a magnificent second place after an outstanding performance on the last day of race. Third in the podium was Borja Melgarejo, father of Tristan and experienced Andalusian regatist.

CATEGORY OF FISHING: Fernando Lamadrid, did not give choice in the category of heavy being accompanied on the podium by the balar Lluis Colomé and the Andalusian Ignacio Alberich. In the female category, the first place was for the Guadalajareña Pilar Prieto, of the Federation of Vela de Castilla la Mancha
