HSN Sailing Team leads the J70 Barcelona Winter Series

Barcelona again offered high-level races this weekend with the celebration of the Régate Annuelle in Mer 2026, organized jointly by the Club Nàutic de Barcelona and the Société Nautique de Genève, coinciding with the penultimate act of the Barcelona J70 Winter Series (Photo Oscar Torveo)
In its third consecutive year of collaboration, the alliance between the Spanish and Swiss club continues to consolidate the international profile of the meeting and strengthen its strategic relevance. For the Société Nautique de Genève, this test also has a special meaning: in case Tudor Team Alinghi conquered the Copa América, the defense club will have to organize at least one annual race in the open sea, a requirement that finds in Barcelona the ideal scenario in view of the geographical impossibility of celebrating it in Switzerland.
The J70 fleet opened the program on Friday with three sleeves disputed under a very unstable wind, between 7 and 12 knots, which demanded maximum tactical accuracy for the crews. The Danish Sirena Chico, patronized by Peter Buhl, became a provisional leader after signing a 1 ° -10 ° -1. He was followed by Noticia and the Valencian Let it be....
On Saturday he raised competitive tension. After the first test was cancelled by a strong role, the committee managed to complete four more sleeves. Sirena Chico maintained the lead, but the HSN Sailing Team starred in the day, ascending to the second position just one point from the first. With Noticia in third place, everything was open for the final day.

The first Sunday test further combied the classification. Noticia was imposed after overcoming the HSN Sailing Team in the first hand, while Sirena Chico crossed third. The result left a spectacular triple tie to 31 points between the three teams (Photo Oscar Torveo)
The ORC fleet was incorporated on Saturday with a coastal test of 7.69 nautical miles in alternative field. Blue Carbon-Aproperties, patronized by Toni Guiu, took the victory ahead of Enigma and Photogenika. On Sunday, with a second 4.3-mile test, the podium was repeated, confirming Blue Carbon-Aproperties as the final winner in ORC... for its part the J70 fleet will put the final brooch to the Winter Series from 20 to 22 March, coinciding with the beginning of the Barcelona Spring Regatta, on an appointment that will reunite the international elite of the class in Barcelona waters.
