The Royal Federation has defined the composition of the national teams of the class Ilca4 that will represent Spain in the European Championship and the World Championship 2026, after completing the two punctuable tests of the National Ranking 2025-2026: the Spanish Cup Ilca4, played at the Níutic Vilanova Club, and the Spanish Championship Ilca4, organized at the CAR Infanta Cristina by the Federation of Sailing of the Murcia Region. The Andalusian regatists Ignacio and Alfonso Murube Cid, belonging to the team of Vela del CN Sevilla, are part of this team.

The ranking, published on 12 February, establishes the definitive order of the Spanish regatists in class ILCA 4 and serves as the basis for the configuration of the national teams in the next World (in Aarhus, Denmark, from 1 to 9 August) and European (in Murcia, from 11 to 18 April).

In line with the Spanish sports planning, the strategy in the Ilca4 class is primarily focused on the development of the sub-16 category, considered a key step within the formative path towards high performance. For this reason, the international selection has been structured according to the performance of the sub-16 regatists within the national ranking.
