February 14: The retired sports journalist Emilio Navaza González died on Friday at the age of 77 in Santiago. Natural of Pontevedra, he was head of the Sports section of El Correo Gallego and one of the drivers of the Carreira Pedestre Popular de Santiago, organized by this newspaper and that next October will reach its 47 edition. Brother of the also retired journalist of the TVE territorial centre in Galicia Tareixa Navaza, leaves numerous publications on sport and olimmism in Galiciay a name highlighted as one of the great Galician chronists of the modern era.
