The Royal Spanish Federation of Vela faces the sixth edition of the Lanzarote International Regatta from tomorrow until February 5 with a prominent presence of its pre-Olympic teams and 2032, on one of the traditional dates of the beginning of the Olympic season. The Olympic candle is back on stage in Marina Rubicón with the celebration of the sixth edition of the Lanzarote International Regatta, which has been conformed - given as an international reference point for the winter preparation of the Olympic teams. The weather conditions and diversity of the race field make Lanzarote a strategic enclave for RFEV sports planning, which uses this race as a competitive test within the road to Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032.
In Ilca7, the largest class, the regatists of the pre-Olympic team Gonzalo Suárez (CN Altea) and Javier Seguí (RCN Puerto de Pollença) will take part in a fleet that is mostly sénior following the recent World Championship sub- 21 played last week in these same waters. The Ilca6 class will have a large participation of the Spanish, with eight regatists in liza. The pre-Olympic team features Adriana Castro (RCN Torrevieja), a recent world bronze medal sub-21. Isabel Hernández (RCN Gran Canaria) and Lara Himmes (RCR of Alicante) will compete with her. In the 49er class, Spain will be represented by two first-level teams: that of Conrad Konitzer (CN Arenal) and Antonio Torrado (RCN Torrevieja), and that of the current absolute European champions, the brothers Martin and Jaime Wizner (RCN Vigo).
