Spain already has its 13 representatives (5 World and 8 European) in the Optimist class for the two major international dates, after closing on Monday the Spanish Cup that has been held at the Nautical Club El Balís, second selective date. For the first of them, World Cup of Portugal, quotes that will take place between 27 June and 7 July in Marina de Vilamoura, Spain will have Conrad Konitzer (CN S'Arenal); Manuel Alvarez-Dardet (CN Puerto Sherry), champion of the Spanish Cup; Samuel Beneyto (RCN Gran Canaria), champion of Spain; Alberto Morales (RCN Arrecife) and Alba Trigo (RCN Sanxenxo), regatist who already was part of the national combination in the European Galés in 2015.

With regard to the European Championship, it is proof that it will be held in Italy from 15 to 22 July, the regatists classified by ranking after the two national tests are: Arnau Gelpí (CN El Balís); José Toronjo (RCM Punta Umbria); Jordi Lladó (RCN Palma); Rubén Naranjo (RCN Gran Canaria); Carmen Losantos (RCN Gran Canaria); Alicia Fras (CN Cambrils), second participation in a European with Spain and Iset Segura (El Balís), with two participation in the European Championship in the 2015, which achieved in the European Union's 2015. It should be noted that the Catalan Fras was part of the Spanish team Team Racing, winning the title of European champion with Spain in Italian waters of Ledro.
